Sarah Stanton

Founder and Centre Director

Sarah is a parent of 2 beautiful children who have autism. She founded Skillz4me in 2016 to fill a much needed gap for children with a disability to participate in mainstream sports.

She received her BA in Social Work from ACU in 2011 after beginning her studies in the USA, where she received a basketball scholarship.

Before starting full time at Skillz4me in 2020, she worked in early diagnosis and post diagnosis support in children with ASD and developmental delays, NDIS coordination and volunteered at Ronald McDonald House and an adult disability daycare centre.

Sarah is passionate about inclusion and supporting parents and families through early diagnosis and beyond. She is dedicated to using her knowledge and experience to support parents and families of children with mixed abilities and help reduce feelings of isolation or mental health challenges they may face.

We encourage the participation of families and siblings and seek to create a community environment where all are welcomed, included and support each other each and every day.
