Skillz4Me Family Center for Disabilities Social Skills

What is Social Skills Training?

Our intervention group focuses on building social skills through stories, structured activities and play with our peers. We use evidence-based social curriculum to help children build foundation social competencies and essential life skills.

The group will help children better understand themselves and others, develop
self-awareness, improve perspective taking, enhance social problem solving and support relationship building.

Who is the group for?

The group is designed for the learner who is conversationally verbal and exhibits difficulties with peer interactions, social cues, emotional regulation, perspective taking, group work and more.

When does it commence?

The group will commence at the beginning of each Term and run weekly on Tuesdays from 4:00 – 5:00pm in the Skillz4me Therapy Room (The Loft) at the centre.
